Ascent Medical Support is a group of doctors and nurses providing high level medical cover at endurance and extreme sports events around New Zealand. From ultramarathons to mountain bike slopestyle – we are there serving the medical needs of athletes pushing the limits.
Medical cover for high level sporting events needs to be delivered by medical professionals with not only a knowledge of the specialist medical requirements of athletes, but also with an in depth understanding of sport. Ascent Medical Support brings an up to date, evidence based medical approach to sports events. Our services are led by doctors and nurses, experienced in working in a range of outdoor locations. Our team also has personal experiences as athletes, so have insights into the competitor perspective when it comes to endurance and extreme sports events.
We can provide input from a medical perspective into the early stages of event planning right through to delivery of medical care on race day. Ascent Medical Support offers a one stop service for event directors. We can also provide advice and services for sports teams and businesses with a specific medical need.
