Angela is a long standing Taupo resident with an extensive and broad ranging background in nursing, in a variety of roles. She has a focus on ICU and Emergency Nursing, including wide experience in mountain and skiing accident assessment and emergency care.

Ange currently splits her work between Taupo and the Tongariro National Park where she is the Practice Manager for two Urgent Care Clinic’s with Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, Whakapapa and Turoa Ski Area’s. Ange’s role as Practice Manager at the ski area’s includes managing two clinics with 10 staff, employing Doctors, Nurses and Radiographers and working closely with the professional Ski Patrols. She has wide experience in working with ACC through the Urgent Care Clinic’s.

Outside the 7 months of the ski related work Ange works as a senior nurse at Taupo and Rotorua Hospital in the Emergency Department and Orthopaedic out-patients clinic.

Ange now has a diverse background in providing medical and emergency support for outdoor adventure and high endurance sporting events. She has been the Recovery director for the Taupo Ironman for 4 years and has been actively involved in a number of other events around the Central North Island. She also worked as the on-site offshore medic on the SMIT Borneo Salvage barge during the clean-up following the Rena disaster in the Bay of Plenty.
